Attorneys Wesley Tonel and Jason Cruz of the Orange office competed in the Pacific Coast Triathlon hosted by Pelican Coast Events, benefiting the Boy Scouts of America, the American Heart Association, and the Corona del Mar and Newport Harbor high schools. This strenuous event required Wesley and Jason to spend months in rigorous training to prepare for the three legs of the event. The legs included a half-mile swim through El Moro Cove, a 12 mile bike ride down Pacific Coast Highway, and a three mile run.
Events such as the triathlon that Wesley and Jason participated in have raised over $200,000 for local youth-oriented charities.
Kristy Yamamoto, Marketing Coordinator, contributed her efforts to the 25th Annual Bay to Bay MS Bike Tour, benefiting the research, prevention and treatment of Multiple Sclerosis. This 100-mile bike ride from Irvine to San Diego followed the coastline for a beautiful, though arduous, route.
The 2007 MS Bike Tour, organized by the Pacific South Coast chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, raised an impressive $2.4 million, all of which will go toward local programs and services helping those affected by the disease.
Attorneys and staff at WFB&M continually look for ways to give back to the community. To donate or for more information on either event, please contact Marketing Coordinator, Kristy Yamamoto, at
