Amidst the Spring breezes of May 10th, over 120 golfers faced challenging pin placements at the 23rd Annual Seagull Golf Tournament in Seal Beach. Despite the tough playing conditions, there were plenty of smiles and laughs from the golfers, friends, and supporters who gathered for this tournament benefitting Juvenile Diabetes. After a day of some very good and some not so good golf, everyone enjoyed a Cinco de Mayo themed Mexican dinner, followed by a lively silent auction and raffle. The low gross first place winners of the tournament and recipients of the perpetual Bocci memorial trophy were Dennis Jennings, Doug Allen, Fred Dellovade, and Jeff Meisterheim.

The annual Seagull Tournament raises money for the research, treatment, and prevention of juvenile diabetes which is on the increase in the U. S. Over the years, proceeds from the tournament have benefitted the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and the Children's Hospital of Orange County.
