Angela Markwith is an associate at Walsworth who primarily focuses her practice on general liability, asbestos, and toxic tort matters.
Before joining Walsworth, Angela gained experience working as a law clerk for advocacy organizations and a large law firm. She routinely communicated with clients, drafted demand letters, and prepared a variety of pleadings, including complaints, motions to compel, oppositions to motions for summary judgment, and mediation briefs. In addition, she participated in extensive discovery, where she reviewed medical and employment records and drafted discovery responses on behalf of her clients. Angela also conducted research in the areas of privacy rights and the discoverability of witness information.
During law school, Angela was Senior Articles Editor of the Diversity & Social Justice Forum and was a co-founder of the school’s Human Rights Law Society. She also served as a Mock Trial Board Member and an Estrella Trial Advocacy competitor. Finally, Angela also worked as a judicial extern for Justice William W. Bedsworth on the California Court of Appeal, where she researched legal issues pertaining to the Sixth Amendment’s Confrontation Clause and helped prepare final opinions.
Angela enjoys practicing yoga, traveling, cooking, and visiting museums in her spare time. She also wants to continue to travel around the world and hopes to cross more countries off of her bucket list.
