Chris Mosier‘s practice primarily focuses on employment and general liability matters. Chris handles all aspects of pre-trial litigation including, pleadings, discovery, and law and motion. Chris also has experience as a second chair at trial.

Before joining Walsworth, Chris was an attorney for a large insurance company in Southern California. He represented and defended commercial and personal policyholders in various matters including, auto collision, premises liability, and product liability. Chris also participated in court appearances, mediations, and trials. He has deposed percipient witnesses, experts and defended both clients and experts at depositions. Previously, as an associate at a Northern California law firm, Chris drafted complaints and a dispositive motion in an insurance bad faith case; he was also a lead associate during an arbitration. Additionally, Chris worked as a liability claims representative for another large national insurance company. Here, he interpreted insuring agreements for coverage, investigated auto accidents for property damage and liability exposure, evaluated claims for bodily injury, and negotiated claims to resolution.

Representative Successes
  • Successfully negotiated numerous personal injury claims to resolution.
  • Persuaded the court to overturn a tentative ruling and grant a motion for terminating sanctions against a plaintiff in Los Angeles Superior Court in a personal injury matter.
  • Assisted in drafting a motion for summary judgment on behalf of an insurance carrier. The motion was granted with the court finding the claim was excluded from coverage.
Beyond the Office

Born and raised in Southern California, Chris temporarily migrated to the Bay Area and received both his Juris Doctorate and an undergraduate degree from Santa Clara University. Chris majored in Political Science and Economics, graduating Magna Cum Laude with admission to Phi Beta Kappa. While at Santa Clara, he served as Student Body President during undergrad and was awarded best oral advocate in law school during the Honors Moot Court Internal Competition.

Chris is a former cross country and track collegiate athlete and spends his spare time hiking and running the local trails. He enjoys camping, golfing, and is on a mission to visit as many National Parks as possible. His puppy has been keeping him busy, and he will soon be married to his beautiful fiancée.
