Katrina Nepacena focuses her practice primarily on asbestos and employment law.
Prior to joining Walsworth, Katrina practiced labor and employment law where she counseled clients on various topics including privacy and social media, parental and sick leaves, and personnel investigations. She also became experienced with Native American law, municipal law and education law.
Katrina externed for Judge Anthony J. Battaglia of the United States District Court, Southern District of California and interned for Judge Eddie C. Sturgeon of the San Diego Superior Court. Earlier in her career, she used her journalism background to help artists and entrepreneurs navigate the complexities of copyright and trademark law.
Katrina is fluent in Tagalog.
While in law school, Katrina was President of the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and a member of the Pro Bono Honors Society and Public Service Honors Society. She also represented her school in negotiation competitions with the California Bar and American Bar Association. Katrina graduated with Honors in the Labor and Employment Law concentration at her law school and received bar exam scholarships from the Pan Asian Lawyers of San Diego/Filipino-American Lawyers of San Diego and the Korean-American Bar Association San Diego.
Katrina has raised thousands of dollars for cancer research and patient care for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) as part of their Team in Training program. She completed a Disney Half Marathon and the Nike Women’s Half and Full Marathons. In her spare time, Katrina enjoys traveling, watching movies and sports, and running around with her two young sons.
