Overview

Mariam Pambukyan is an associate at Walsworth, where she focuses her practice on the defense of contractors, manufacturers, and premises owners in asbestos litigation. She participates in all aspects of pre-trial litigation, including legal research, preparing pleadings and motions, case management, discovery, and trial preparation.

During law school, Mariam was a Certified Law Student and Team Leader for Community Legal Services in Sacramento where she focused on elder and health law litigation matters, and assisted clients in navigating public agencies and benefit programs. She also worked as a law clerk for the Victims of Crime Resource Center, where she operated a statewide hotline for victims of crime, counseled victims on their rights, and provided information on resources such as victims support outreach programs.

Representative Successes
  • Secured a pre-trial dismissal for a contractor in a wrongful death mesothelioma case filed in San Francisco Superior Court. Plaintiffs alleged that Decedent was exposed to asbestos by numerous defendants, including our client, when working as an insulator. Plaintiffs’ counsel provided the dismissal after being served a dismissal letter that demonstrated there was insufficient evidence to support their allegations of Decedent’s asbestos exposure against our client.
Beyond the Office

In her spare time, Mariam’s hobbies include cultivating plants, practicing yoga, drawing, and baking.
