Tara Currie’s practice primarily focuses on toxic tort law, environmental law and other chemical litigation including product liability and regulation. Through her background in intellectual property and entertainment work, Tara keeps current with the legal and social trends surrounding copyrights, trademarks, cannabis and film and television production.
Prior to joining Walsworth, Tara gained regulatory compliance experience as an associate attorney with an Orange County firm. There, she specialized in cannabis licensing and compliance and corporate transactions. Tara has also had extensive experience prior to licensure in both litigation and transactional matters where she prepared clients for grand jury proceedings, drafted responses to cease and desist letters, educated clients about copyright and trademark law and procured responses on behalf of a school district rebutting claims of discrimination and retaliation.

Tara Currie graduated from Whittier Law School, magna cum laude, with a concentration in intellectual property law. She served as Lead Article Editor of the Whittier Law Review and was the president of both the Asian Pacific American Law Students Association and the Intellectual Property Law Society. In her last year at Whittier, Tara received the Dean’s Citation Award and the Certificate for an Outstanding Member in Intellectual Property. During Summer 2016, Tara completed a study abroad program through Whittier at Nanjing University in China, where she studied international business law.
In her spare time, Tara enjoys cooking, reading, attending concerts and music festivals, traveling, trying new exercise classes and exploring new restaurants.
