Thomas St. Germain’s practice focuses primarily on the defense of general and premises liability. Thomas handles all aspects of pre-trial litigation including, pleadings, written discovery, depositions, law and motion, and pre-trial workup.
Before joining Walsworth, Thomas worked as a trial attorney at a Southern California civil litigation firm. In this role, he managed a full caseload from pre-litigation to final resolutions on personal injury, slip and fall, transportation liability, traumatic brain injury, subrogation, and employment law matters. In another previous role, he gained experience in construction defect and water damage matters.
- Obtained a jury verdict in a motor vehicle accident case and limited the verdict to $40,000 when potential exposure was in excess of $700,000. Plaintiff’s claims included prior and potential future back surgery, as well as significant loss of earnings claim.
- Negotiated a successful settlement of client’s wrongful termination and sexual harassment case for a fraction of the potential exposure of over seven figures through investigation of the plaintiff’s co-workers and former employees that demonstrated that plaintiff’s claims were not as substantial as alleged.
- Successfully recovered a pre-litigation settlement for Policy Limits in a brain injury case involving a minor hit by a drunk driver through the use of expert opinion regarding the future medical care of the minor plaintiff.
Thomas’ interests include history, especially Renaissance History, World War II, Ancient Greece, and Rome. When he is not reading or practicing law, he enjoys working out and stand-up paddle boarding.
