Accounts Payable Clerk

We are seeking a full-time Accounts Payable Clerk. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of office experience to join our busy and growing Accounting Department. This key role is a fit for anyone looking to expand their knowledge and experience, particularly in accounts payable.

This position will have a hybrid schedule of at least 3 days in our Irvine office.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Facilitates payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Receives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.
  • Ensures outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identifies discount opportunities, and issues purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.
  • Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality with firm and client financial data.
  • Proficiency in accounting and billing applications. Experience with LMS a plus.
  • Highly proficient in use of office applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook) and equipment.
  • Adapt and calmly react to the demands of rush projects with time sensitive deadlines.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Establish and maintain effective, cordial, and productive working relationships with team members.
  • Proactively analyze and solve problems.
  • Prior law firm experience a plus.

Compensation:

The hourly pay range for this non-exempt California-based position is $26 – $36 per hour, not including applicable overtime, and represents Walsworth’s reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
