Legal Billing and Collections Coordinator
We are currently seeking a full-time (37.5 hours a week) experienced Billing and Collections Coordinator to join our Finance Team and support attorneys in our Los Angeles, Orange County and/or San Francisco offices. This position has an option of being 100% remote.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Full cycle billings: process, edit, proof and finalize pre-bills as directed by responsible attorneys.
- Collect and maintain billing data via charts and spreadsheets for tracking, collections and communications.
- Manage electronic client submissions and maintain data on third-party online applications.
- Review Aging Reports to assist in contacting clients regarding past due balances.
- Assist attorneys with accounts receivables by providing accurate and up-to-date billing information and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Proficiency in legal billing and accounting applications; Rippe LMS WebTime a plus.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
- Ability to work efficiently from a remote location.
- Adaptability to the demands of rush projects and critical deadlines, while maintaining appropriate decorum.
- Extreme organization and multi-tasking absolutely required.
- Maintain strict confidentiality with firm and client financial data.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective, cordial, and productive working relationships with teammates and other firm members.
- Creative problem-solver.
- Ability to prioritize workload and manage time accordingly and seek assistance from managers when in doubt.
- MUST have 3-4 years minimum legal billing experience.
Compensation:
The hourly pay range for this non-exempt California-based position is $26 – $36 per hour, not including applicable overtime, and represents Walsworth’s reasonable estimate of the range of compensation at the time of this posting. Actual compensation may vary depending on several factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s relevant experience and qualifications.
