Here’s what South Florida businesses can do to combat the Zika threat

Attorney: Laurie E. Sherwood | Published 8.4.16

Walsworth travel and hospitality Partner Laurie Sherwood, who was interviewed by South Florida Business Journal, discussed the impact on tour operators and travel agents. “We would advise our clients to advise their travelers to send information from the CDC website, which has the most comprehensive information.” She explained that if a customer contracts Zika on a vacation and claims the company didn’t warn them about the disease, they may try to file a lawsuit.

Sherwood went on to say how she hopes businesses are warning their travelers to take the necessary precautions.
