Representative Successes
  • Solis v Kemper Services Group, et al. – Successful Motion for Summary Judgment in Los Angeles County Superior Court for carrier in bad faith litigation arising from auto theft claim. Insured claimed carrier failed to properly investigate the claim and unreasonably denied coverage. However, undisputed facts establishing discrepancies in insured’s description of theft and the insureds failure to cooperate warranted a reasonable denial of the claim based on misrepresentation.
  • Hollier v. Zopko, et al. – Successful Motion for Summary Judgment in Los Angeles County Superior Court for homeowner in premises liability case.  Plaintiff-guest claimed to have suffered injuries when she slipped and fell in bathroom after rushing into home ahead of the homeowner.  Court found plaintiff could not establish homeowner had any actual or constructive knowledge of the alleged wet bathroom floor before guest entered the home, and thus, could not be held liable.
