Overview

Frederick Choi is a partner at Walsworth who focuses his practice on toxic tort matters. He is a skilled attorney with nearly 30 years of experience handling all aspects of litigation, including fact and expert discovery, law and motion, trial, and appeals.

Prior to joining Walsworth, Frederick represented a variety of clients in state and federal courts in products liability, personal injury, habitability, construction defect, and employment matters.

Frederick is fluent in Korean.

Representative Successes
  • Motive Power v. Samyoung Machinery Industrial Co.  – Successfully obtained defense-favorable jury verdict for a client in a seven-figure product liability and trade libel claim against multinational diesel engine component manufacturer in a multi-week federal jury trial.
  • Losey v. TL Fab, et al.  – Obtained summary judgment in favor of a property owner in a catastrophic bodily injury claim by way of a Privette motion.
  • Rubio v. Genie, et al.  – Successfully defended property owner and obtained a favorable resolution in wrongful death/product liability claim involving a boom lift accident occurring at client’s golf course.
  • Faber v. Roadex, et al.  – Obtained a favorable defense resolution of wrongful termination and PAGA claims against employer of interstate truck driver based on federal wage and hour exemptions.
Beyond the Office

In his spare time Fred is an avid golfer and collector of baseball cards. He also enjoys spending time outdoors with his family and their beloved dog Timmy.  As a University of Michigan alumni, Fred is sure to be glued to the TV every Saturday morning during football season.
